Model: AA350
Digital Battery Analyzer
For automotive service professionals, fleet maintenance technicians, and technical owner/operators
Identify critical battery faults and measure battery state of health.
The AA350 is an effective solution for measuring automotive batteries on the bench, and for an owner/operator to use for testing storage batteries in RV and Marine applications. Large Pulse Resistance (LPR) technology provides a highly accurate snapshot of battery state of health. Compensation algorithms automatically adjust for temperature and discharged battery conditions.
Fast to operate, and easy to understand results.
The entire test sequence can be completed in a few seconds. The AA series interface and displays are clear and intuitive, providing users with a wealth of clearly organized results. The graphical display offers at-a-glance understanding of key battery performance characteristics with icons and audible alarms highlighting critical battery problems.

Test Procedure Details
The AA350 applies two unique test routines to every battery. Test results, along with any discovered battery faults are displayed on the LCD screen. Results are logically combined to provide a summary recommendation: Replace Now, Replace Soon, or Continue to Use.
Test 1. Setup and Battery Diagnostics (estimated time: 1 to 10 seconds)
The operator selects the battery type and rating system, and enters the rated size of the battery if that information is available. Basic diagnostics measurements including state of charge and the detection of possible shorted cells are immediately performed.
Test 2. Battery Life Test (estimated time: <1ms)
A Large Pulse Resistance (LPR) test is immediately performed to determine battery capability. LPR brings unmatched speed and accuracy to battery testing. In a fraction of a second, the AA350 subjects the battery to approximately 100A of load, exposing a wide range of internal battery characteristics, and providing critical information used to calculate internal resistance.
If, during Test step 1, the user entered the size of the battery rated under SAE, DIN, EN or IEC, the tester will immediately convert the measured internal resistance values to cold cranking performance, adjust all data for non-standard temperature and non-standard state of charge, and will display the resulting state of health of the battery.
Results of all tests can be reviewed, and all critical battery conditions are indicated by intuitive icons and audible alarms.
