PRINTING AND SAVING RESULTS
If the AATPR20 printer is attached to the tester, results may be printed or saved any time after initiating a battery test. Press and hold
[enter/print] to output results to the printer and memory.
Setup Output Preference
The preference to print, save, or both print AND save the results is made in Tester Setup Options. To change the output preference, enter SETUP mode, and advance to the ‘Output Mode’ page.
After completing a test, press [enter/print] button to change the display to the ‘SoC’ page. From the ‘SoC’ page, press and hold [<] for 3 seconds (until beep). The display will clear and the first setup page, ‘Prn’ is displayed. Press [enter/print] 8 times to advance to the Output Mode page (‘P – S’).
Use [>] or [<] to set Output mode preference.
Select ‘P’ = print only;
Select ‘S’ = save only; or
Select ‘P – S’ = print and save.
Press [enter/print] to confirm your selection and return to the normal display.
Sending Results to the Printer or Memory
If the
(Printer) icon is visible on the display press and hold [enter/print] for two seconds to output the current test results.
If Print only (‘P’) is set as the output preference, the printer will immediately print a test report. Note: If the printer does not contain printer paper, the printer icon will not be displayed and printing is disabled.
If Save only (‘S’) is set as the output preference, the display will change to the Save screen ‘SAV’.
The main data section will display the record number for storing the current test results. To save the results under the displayed record number press the enter button. Or, to replace a previously stored test, use [<] and [>] and select the record you wish to replace with the current test results. After pressing [enter/print] the results will be stored and the display will return to normal mode.
If Print and Save (‘P – S’) is set as the output preference, the display will change to the Save screen ‘SAV’. Use the method described above to save the test report. After the test report is saved, the printer will print the test report and the screen will return to normal mode.
Erasing Memory
The maximum number of tests that may be stored is 999. When the memory becomes full, no additional tests may be saved. New test results must replace an older record or all test results must be erased.
To erase all stored tests, press and hold the [enter/print] button to reach the Save ‘SAV’ screen. Use the [<] or [>] button and advance the record number to ‘000’ (top display: ‘--%’.)
Then, press AND HOLD [enter/print] (until beep). All saved records will be erased from the memory. After all records are erased, the new test may be stored in position 001.
When using the Argus Data Manager software (ADM), the test records on the memory on the printer are automatically erased after each time the stored records are imported into the ADM software.
Loading paper into the printer
To load paper into the printer:
- Open the paper container by carefully lifting the printer door on the front of the printer.
- Insert a new roll of paper and allow one or two centimeters of paper to extend above the printer surface. Paper should be inserted so the paper naturally curls up towards the top of the printer as it exits the printer (see illustration).
- Gently close the door.
The AATPR10 uses rolls of thermal paper:
- 58 mm (2.25 inches) wide
- 20mm (23mm or 13/16 inch maximum) diameter
- 65u thickness.
- 53 – 64 g/m2 weight
- Thermally active side facing the center of the roll
Additional rolls of paper may be purchase from your Argus Analyzer’s dealer. Please request: Thermal paper refills, part #: PAPER TPR10 containing 10 rolls of paper.
Larger diameter rolls can be purchased in the marketplace and re- rolled to make rolls of 23mm maximum diameter. Paper must be rolled with thermally active side facing the center of the roll.
