Do I need to enter battery details for every test record?
-
Battery details should be added to every test record so you have a connection between a test record and a particular battery. Details can be added two ways:
- If you have never tested the particular battery before, then new details must be added using the [Battery +] button above the test report. This opens a new 'Battery Details' form.
- If you have tested this particular battery before (and already entered details), you can select the battery details from a list of all previously entered batteries. Click the [Battery √] button to see a list of all previously entered batteries. Select the correct battery from the list to add those details to the test record.
Note: You can sort the list of batteries by clicking on any column header. You may edit battery details by selecting a battery from the list and clicking on the edit button.

What is the 'Battery ID:' in the test report?
-
The 'Battery ID:' is any unique number used to identify the battery. This could be a serial number or other unique number that you choose. For each test report - enter a 'Battery ID:' number and other battery and vehicle details by clicking on the [battery +] icon above the test report to open the battery details form.

How do I email a test report?

Why is the top of the test report empty?
-
The top of each test report is empty until battery details are added. A test record imported from the printer/memory includes only test data. Adding identification details about the battery (battery manufacturer, brand, vehicle information, etc.) establishes a relationship between the test data and a specific battery.
Click the [battery +] icon to open a form to add battery and vehicle details to each test record.

The 'Set Custom Report Header' button does not work.
-
There are two ways to program the custom report header on the printer/memory module:
- 'Preferences' button, and select 'Test Report Header'. Enter the desired header and click the 'Automatically set this header on connection' box. The header will be programmed the next time the printer/memory is connected to the PC.
- Use the 'Set Custom Report Header' button above the test report view. This method will only work if the printer/memory is connected. The button is disabled if the printer/memory is not connected.

No test records are imported from the printer/memory
-
If test records are not automatically imported after connecting the printer/memory to the PC, there probably were not any test records stored in the memory. Make sure the tester is properly set up to 'Save' or 'Print and Save' test reports. Read the Tester Setup Options section of the manual for more information.

Why do I get the message 'Argus Data Manager is already running'?
-
Argus Data Manager will start automatically when your PC is started, and it will run in the background until you connect the printer/memory module. If you try to start Data Manager again, you will see the '...already running' message. Only one instance of ADM may run at the same time. Click on the small 'A' (Argus) icon in the Windows task notification area to open the ADM report viewer.

After installing Data Manager, you must start the program from the Windows / Start Programs menu. Data Manager will start but run in the background until the printer/memory module is connected to the PC or until you open Data Manager from the task notification area (normally lower right corner of Windows display.) Click on the round 'A' (Argus) logo.
